MINERAL MOTOR OIL.?

Mineral oil is the most natural in terms of its components: it is obtained from refined crude oil. It was the first to be used on old vehicles: it was originally called monograde, ie it had only one viscosity index. This posed a problem because a monograde oil has very large differences between cold viscosity and hot viscosity: it is therefore either too thick or too fluid. For this reason, monograde oil was not suitable for all-season driving.Today, mineral oil is enriched with additives (polymers) which make it possible to reduce this difference, but it remains of lower quality compared to synthetic oil.. Its main advantage is its price, since it is much cheaper than a synthetic or semi-synthetic oil .If your vehicle has a very old engine, it is imperative to use mineral engine oil: indeed, an old engine is not suitable for synthetic oil and could be damaged.

SYNTHETIC ENGINE OIL

Synthetic oil is of chemical origin. It is made up of numerous additives which make it possible to increase its effectiveness on various points (against oxidation or corrosion, for example). For this reason, it is the most effective and long-lasting type of oil .Synthetic oil has a very small difference between cold viscosity and hot viscosity, which allows it to be sufficiently fluid during cold starting and sufficiently viscous when hot when circulating inside the engine.Synthetic motor oil corresponds to the best quality. Its properties linked to its many additives allow it to meet the requirements of a complex engine (for example, of the turbo type or with a particulate filter). It is therefore perfectly suited for very modern vehicles.Synthetic oil has another major advantage: it reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions thanks to its increased efficiency during start-up, where the vehicle tends to consume more energy. This type of oil is highly recommended for urban driving requiring many slowdowns, stops and starts. It is also recommended in case of difficult climatic conditions.

SEMI-SYNTHETIC MOTOR OIL.?

Semi-synthetic oil is composed of a mineral base mixed with a synthetic base. Please note, this is not a The synthetic part in a semi-synthetic oil can vary from 1% up to 30%.The main advantage of a semi-synthetic oil is that it is less expensive than a synthetic oil although it borrows certain properties linked to the synthetic additives contained in the mixture. This type of oil has the best price/quality ratio and is suitable for older engines as well as more modern engines. Its main disadvantage is that it is less durable than a synthetic oil.. It deteriorates faster and therefore requires more regular oil changes. Each of these types of oils vary in viscosity index . We explain how to understand the reading of this index and what it means here .SOME EXAMPLES OF ENGINE OILS AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET

CHAMPION 5W30 C2 OEM SPECIFIC ENGINE OIL

This motor oil is 100% synthetic and composed of a base of high quality oils. One of its main advantages is that it reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions . It has a low cold viscosity index, which means that it is very fluid when cold and facilitates starting . It is perfectly suited to modern engines and guarantees optimum protection . This oil is suitable for both gasoline and diesel engine vehicles.Find Champion 5W30 C2 Oem Specific engine oil on

TOTAL 5W40 ACTIVA 9000 ENGINE OIL

This engine oil is synthetic and is ideal for vehicles with turbocharged, multi-valve or direct injection engines. Like 5W30 oil, it is very fluid when cold and makes starting easier . This oil is recommended for highway or city driving and is suitable for use in all seasons. It is suitable for petrol and diesel engines, and recommended if using unleaded fuel or LPG.Find Total 5W40 Activa 9000 engine oil on

CHAMPION 10W40 B4 ACTIVE DEFENSE ENGINE OIL

This semi-synthetic oil is composed of a mineral base and a synthetic base composed of very good quality oils. It is suitable for four-stroke gasoline and diesel engines and is particularly recommended for diesel engines with direct injection. Its main advantage is its optimal protection of the engine against wear and aging . It can be used throughout the year.
